Sales Representative

We are seeking a qualified, experienced, and enthusiastic Outside Sales Representative to manage accounts in a given territory. You will be required to travel locally to manufacturing metalworking sites and advise customers on products and take sales orders.

Qualifications: Outside sales or applications experience coming from either a manufacturer or a distributor of Industrial Supplies/Industrial Supply Products, Metal Working Products, Abrasives, Industrial Equipment such as CNC Machine Tools, Cutting Tools, Indexable Carbide, Solid Carbide, Threading, Grooving, Grinding Equipment/Grinders, Turning, Lathes, Milling, Drilling, Reaming, End Mills, Drills, etc.

Customer Service Representative

Purpose: Generates revenue by obtaining orders through quotations; understanding and interpreting technical requirements; developing accounts.

Duties:

  • Closes new accounts by answering telephone, fax, and e-mail inquiries; verifying and entering information
  • Fills orders by transferring orders to fulfillment; communicating expected delivery date; explaining stock-outs
  • Develops accounts by checking customer’s buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features
  • Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions
  • Being proactive in responding to & following up on sales leads
  • Work with outside sales rep to provide all aspects of customer service and support

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Computer proficiency (Outlook Express, Internet Explorer, Ms Word/Excel & ability to learn new software quickly)

Industrial Sales Representative – Cutting Tools and Lubrication

 EXPERIENCE:

In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you must have:

• A minimum of 3 year experience in Technical/Industrial sales and support of Industrial Consumables (cutting tools, coolants and abrasives). Experience in metal working and/or hands-on CNC machining is an asset.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sales & Support of consumable tooling for manufacturers and machine shops..

• Serving existing customers & seeking new business to expand customer base. • Identify and qualify key prospect accounts for sales opportunities. Develop a good understanding of the customer’s business model, machine and application requirements.

• Provide on-site technical and applications assistance to customers.

• Prepare and deliver sales proposal and presentations.

• Ability to negotiate both technical and commercial terms.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Technical / Industrial Sales Background (1-5 years) is Preferred.

• Good Knowledge of Cutting Tools / Coolants/ Abrasives / Machine Tools.

• Knowledge of Market. • Superior sales and presentation skills or demonstrable sales aptitude.

EDUCATION: • Post Secondary Education in machining an asset.

REQUIRED TRAVEL:  Yes, throughout a specified territory. Vehicle allowance provided
